Dear Elias,
Hello…I have just found you vis LoveFraud…and want to thank you for your pages here…I am just coming out of a four year association with a sociopath. I suppose the fact that I am alive will overshadow the heartbreak, suffering and loss of monies.
I am looking forward to reading your site.
Many thanks,
Carol

Thankyou for your comment, I am in the process of doing so many things all at the same time with court cases etc, so please excuse my delay in reply, I have also been setting up a site where people can talk about the experiences with sociopaths, have a look at http://blog.personality-disorders.info feel free to register and post.
The fact that you survived the experience with a sociopath only makes you stronger and wiser. I dont think that anyone who has had a sociopath in their lives has had any financial gains from the experience so perhaps look at it like this just take it as the cost of training you against people like that.
Like me I doubt that you will be taken by another.
Now the difficult thing is getting over the heartache, people can say that they have had worse experience than yours or that yours could be worse than theirs but the simple fact is this, what is considered acceptable to you may not be for another and visa versa.
For example a loaf of bread from a starving person would be murder but perhaps wouldn’t be the same if it was taken from you. Not that the crime is acceptable at all but the feeling level behind it and how one handles it and even how it effects their life.
People often ask me why I haven’t taken matters into my own hands and got even with the sociopath that destroyed my life, but I say to them what goes round comes around and every dog has their day.
Hang in there, find some good friends to talk to, keep your chin up and press on forward, you are better than you were before and you must agree with that!
Regards
Elias

Dear Elias,
Now I must ask you to please forgive me for my long delay in answering you…and thank you for your generous and kind remarks to help bolster me during what continues to be a difficult –but improving!– time.
I have discovered a wonderful book entitled ‘Women Who Love Psychopaths’ and it truly describes the path of ‘inevitable harm’ that we victims encounter (whether male or female) when we have been lured into the labyrinth of deceit and madness by these disordered people.
I will now check your blog…I was not aware of it, Elias, and thank you for letting me know.
Again, thank you for your kind words…they are much appreciated…and I too wish you all the best as you continue to find your peace and comfort after your difficult situation.
Warm regards,
Carol

Dear Elias,
Carol here again…I have just found your blog…it is wonderful…thank you for providing this.
I read what you wrote: I have had first hand experience with a sociopath that simply destroyed the very fabric of my normal family life. –Oh, Elias, my heart goes out to you as I too know this feeling to the depth of my being….and who could do this to another but a sociopath??
I continue to wish you well with your court case…and all that concerns you. I will look forward to hearing from you when you have a moment to write…and until then I will hold you in my thoughts and prayers for all good for you.
Best regards,
Carol

“It has cost me one of my daughters (I’ll explain how later), my marriage and financially in excess of $50,000, it has also cost me time in court, time for briefing barristers and a like.” Elias, the above quote I found of yours on another site…will have to go back and find it to tell you where…but couldn’t help but think that you and I have the same path with our sociopaths…I too lost over $50,000.00 US and it almost cost me my marriage (I was happily married when I met this monster, but was pulled in nonetheless and of course they do not care that they are destroying a life, a marriage, a bank account and on and on…
Please write when you have a chance…I apologize that I didn’t stay in touch with you sooner….I have been too depressed with the disaray my life has been left in thanks to my sociopath…
Again…all the best to you…
Carol
